Quechua notes

  • Judging by the information in Weber (1989), a grammar of a Quechua I language, and Kusters (2003), who discusses Quechua II languages, nominal and verbal inflection in the two major branches of Quechua is quite regular. Argument marking suffixes on transitive verbs are not always fully decomposible into transparent constituent parts, but the ultimate partition of the paradigm follows coherent divisions into subject and object person, and TAM.
